Miss Knight's Lucky 13
This is the official cover reveal for ... insert drum roll ... Miss Knight's latest misadventure! I did make a slight change. Rather than start an entirely new series, I decided to tack this story onto the existing 12-book Society for Paranormals, which means this is actually the 13th book.
Fortunately for those who care about unlucky numbers, it's only the 11th book in the main series, so no bad luck is involved, unless you're Miss Knight's newest employee, in which case you have no idea in what hot mess you just landed!

| A supernatural sleuth, a runaway pickpocket and the son of Death must outwit shape-shifting trickster gods. |
Deadly relics. African gods. Perfectly steeped tea.
When semi-professional pickpocket Sharma Song applies for an apprentice role at the Cozy Tea Shoppe, she has no idea that the job involves murder, mayhem, and other inconveniences. Song is used to engaging in subtle deceptions and slight-of-hand antics, but there's nothing subtle or slight about the dead body in the library.
Then again, what did she expect, given that her new employer is none other than the infamous paranormal investigator, Miss Beatrice Knight? Joined by a bumbling butler who claims to be the son of Death, the ladies must solve the murder and contain a cursed pocket watch while creating perfect tea blends for fussy customers.
Tea isn’t the only hot mess brewing in the Kenyan town of Nairobi. Mythological tricksters with a penchant for fire and brimstone clash with angry gods, while colonial authorities and dedicated bureaucrats set their suspicious sights on Miss Knight. All the while, a more ominous event looms on the not-so-distant horizon. Will Miss Knight and her friends stop the tick-tock of the watch and avert a brewing apocalypse, without letting the tea go cold?
Equal parts cozy mystery, magical adventure, and historical romp, Miss Knight & the Bewitched Watch invites readers into a world where crocodiles eat secrets, insects wear high heels, and danger always shows up after morning tea. Release date: real soon... I promise!
Since I have your attention: what's better than one cover reveal?*
(*The correct answer is, "Two cover reveals", although "Genmaicha tea plus 72% dark chocolate" is also acceptable.)
Here's the cover for the first book in The Safari Cards. When a group of middle school students are invited to play a card game, they release spirit animals with the power to transform their lives, or destroy them in an adventure series that’s Chronicles of Narnia meets Jumanji in Kenya.

| It's fun and games on and off the court. |
Pick a card. Start your adventure.
When team captain Leo picks the King of Lions card, he takes it as a good omen until the moment he trips over the face-sized paw of a lion who is no longer inside its card. The animal refuses to leave until Leo accepts an impossible mission. Help the basketball team’s weakest member play in the upcoming East African Tournament, although this will almost definitely mean losing the game. And Leo doesn't like to lose. But when an injury prevents him from playing, he’ll need to think up a new game strategy, or lose more than just a trophy. Release date: 20 November.
What do you think?! Let me know in the comments.

Love the first cover ! Second cover makes me think the book is a teenage read only but will still read out of curiosity !
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the cover! It is stunning. The Safari Cards is definitely skewed toward a younger audience, but you might enjoy it if you enjoy Percy Jackson.
